Well water
The whole well-water stack for the New Hope property — pump, pressure tank, softener, filtration, RO, water-quality testing, contractors, invoices, EOD horizons per component. This page is the entry point; sub-substrates fill in as photos, invoices and test reports land in the drop zone.
System stack
Each component gets its own EOD horizon + stewardship-posture row per feedback_tech_record_eod_and_stewardship_posture.md. Most well-water kit lives at Tier 4 (LAN-only · physical-only) — no firmware, no network attack surface; replace-on-failure is the maintenance posture.
EOD 10-20 yrs · housing only · cartridges quarterly
Treatment · 3 · optional
RO / polish
TBD · is there a reverse-osmosis stage at the kitchen tap? Brand, membrane age, post-filter cadence.
EOD 5-8 yrs · membrane life
Testing
Water-quality history
TBD · most-recent test report date + headline results (bacteria · nitrates · hardness · pH · iron · manganese · arsenic). Drop test PDFs in the zone below to populate the archive.
Cadence annual bacterial · 3-yr full
Service cadence
Softener salt refill
Every 6-8 weeks at typical household consumption · check level monthly · brand TBD
Sediment filter change
Every 3-6 months · or sooner if pressure drop noticed
Carbon filter change
Every 6-12 months · or when taste/odour returns
RO membrane
Every 2-3 years (if RO present) · pre + post filters every 6-12 mo
Annual bacterial test
Once a year · cheap (~$30-50 lab test) · catches coliform / E. coli early
Comprehensive water test
Every 3 years · full panel including heavy metals, nitrates, hardness, pH · ~$150-300
Pressure-tank check
Annually · verify pre-charge PSI · watch for water-logged tank (short cycling = bladder failure)
Well-pump inspection
Every 3-5 years · or on symptoms (low pressure, air in lines, sand in water)
Vendors on file
Two tiers, one path: approved go-tos live at top-level /contractors/<slug>/ (the people we actually call). Audit/review candidates live here at /well-water/contractors/<slug>/ until they deliver a successful job, then graduate up to top-level. The category page links to both tiers; the top-level page links back here.
Approved · go-to (top-level)
🟢 GREEN approvedCertified Water Services · Patrick Raimondomulti-thread relationship · scope: full well-water stack · primary service contact · record at /contractors/certified-water-services/
Audit / review pool (in-category)
🟡 auditWell company A · TBDname pending · one of two well-specialists for audit/review per Dan 2026-05-26 · record will land at /well-water/contractors/<slug>/
🟡 auditWell company B · TBDname pending · second of two well-specialists for audit/review · record will land at /well-water/contractors/<slug>/
A vendor in the audit pool graduates to top-level /contractors/<slug>/ the moment they deliver a successful job. Demotion runs the other direction if a previously-approved vendor has a bad outcome that revokes their go-to status.
Drop zone
Drop files into the zone matching their content — they land in pa/well-water/_bulk-source/<field>/ for the next render pass to route into the right sub-substrate (equipment / test-reports / issues / invoices).
Issues + service calls — symptom photos · short videos of pressure drop · iron-staining evidence · weird taste/odour notes · leak photos.
Test-report archive
No test reports yet. Drop the most recent water-quality report into the Test reports zone above — bacterial card or comprehensive lab panel are equally welcome. Each landed report will appear here as a row: date · headline results · pass/fail flags · link to the PDF.
Open issues
No open issues. The system is presumed healthy until evidence says otherwise. Add an issue by dropping symptom evidence into the Issues + service calls zone, OR ping Claude with the symptom and an issue row will be created here.
