E-waste
Disposal substrate for electronics that don't belong in the regular Republic / hauler stream — laptops, screens, networking gear, batteries (sub-classes), media-production equipment from past project archives. One candidate vendor currently under review — feasibility check pending before any pickup is scheduled.
Status (2026-06-01): Photos of the staged lot sent to Bridget Jones · bridgetc@elianelectronicsrecycling.com — awaiting confirmation on Eastern PA service coverage. Inventory visible in lot photos below.

Elian Electronics Recycling
Free pickup-and-disposal service. The economics are unusually favorable IF the geography works:
- Free pickup with ≥ 10 qualifying items (courtesy items along for the ride)
- $125 minimum-fee pickup when below 10 items, or for large single items like a copier
- Hard-drive destruction: $4/onsite, $2/offsite — both include certificate + serialized report
- Some items are CA-only (CRT monitors, TVs) — likely a regulatory artifact of CA's stricter e-waste rules
Item compatibility matrix

Resolve before committing — each one is a real go/no-go gate, not a nice-to-have.
🟠 Geography · does Elian service Eastern PA? — outreach sent 2026-06-01
- Why it matters: NJ-based (Hillside + Woodland Park depots) — feasibility for Eastern PA (Solebury, 18963) needs confirmation. The brochure doesn't explicitly claim service area; Bridget Jones outreach (2026-06-01) will clarify.
- Outreach: Photos + inquiry sent to Bridget Jones (bridgetc@elianelectronicsrecycling.com) on 2026-06-01. Awaiting reply — expected 1-3 business days.
🟢 Inventory · lot photographed and shared 2026-06-01
- Lot visible in photos above — bins of mixed electronics + cables in totes, desktop PC tower, Stanley Jump-It 1000 battery pack, bagged items.
- Next step: Once Elian confirms geography, do a formal item-by-item triage against the qualified / courtesy / not-accepted matrix to confirm free vs. $125 pickup threshold.
🟢 Alternative vendors · is there a local-PA equivalent?
- Why it matters: Even if Elian doesn't service PA, the model (free pickup with item threshold) is one to look for locally. Bucks County likely has a PA-DEP-registered e-waste recycler with similar economics.
- How to close: Search PA DEP's "Covered Device Recycling Act" registered recyclers list filtered to Bucks County. Add as
