Hi,

You can complete upgrades as you see fit to. Liberty Mutual will still release the recoverable depreciation as long as the item replaced is of the same category as the approved item. So a bigger shed is not a problem.

Once the repairs are complete, please submit your final invoice and we will release any depreciation owed at that time.

Regards,

Just a quick status -

We have got a shed company in PA that can supply us.

  * The issue is that it's a little larger than the original; the one we are now assessing is 12x18, and it's coming in close to $30k, mostly because we added insulation. Does Liberty Mutual have a problem with us increasing our own out-of-pocket expenses? I assume not. This year's insurance policy increased the value of external structures, so from that perspective, we are within the range.
If you have time, look over our file again. I know it's been several months since we last chatted. I can send over the estimate/invoice, and we can close this out by ordering, installing, and satisfying the requirement to replace it.

Regards, Dan
