Hello,

Thank you for your email.

It appears per the quote, over a year after the loss occurred, Aratech charged to dig up the feeder cable and terminate the circuit. The policy would not owe to dig up the electricity as it owes to replace the shed. If you have more information from the technician on why they needed to dig it up, we can always review any new information.

To address the tree removal of $4800, we would need a copy of the tree removal quote/invoice to match the bank statement provided.

The $12k adjustment is:

  * $1,000 deductible (your out of pocket expense for the claim)
  *   $1,213.24 Recoverable Depreciation
  *   $115.58 Non-Recoverable Depreciation
  *   $9,728.30 Prior Payment

Once the work is complete and we receive the final invoice, we will release the recoverable depreciation in the amount of $1,213.24.

Determining the breakdown for the individual amounts allocated:

By adding the dollar figures within RC column on the estimate, you will find the total amount approved for each line item.

Totals:
Fence= $ 738.32
Shed = $ 17,263.17
Kennel = $ 1,287.55

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for trusting Liberty Mutual with all your insurance needs.

Regards,

Dear Taylor Guishard-Drummond,

In the previous email, you will see the expenses for the tree removal, shed removal, fence repair and electrical isolation of the shed. Will they reimburse this figure of $6047? This should be separate from the shed and kennel replacement costs.

[cid:image002.png@01DC7318.331A1930]

Payment Status:

$9,728. 30 paid on 08/09/21
$7,231.92 paid on 12/12/2025

Could you help explain the "less-adjustment" figure of $12,057.12

It would be helpful to see the breakdown for the individual amounts allocated to the shed replacement, kennel replacement, repairs (separated from the contents of the shed). We are claiming for a shed, kennel, contents and clean-up/repairs. I'll continue to add up the property contents.

To be clear, the contents figure uses the exisiting purchase price without reference to current replacement costs.

Appreciate your help and patience in closing out this claim.

Dan and Audrey
